Reflect on your past experiences with research in school. What challenges have you faced when working independently or in a group, and how did you handle them? Explain how those experiences will influence the way you approach this current research project.

Prompt Response: In the past, research projects haven’t always been easy for me. When I worked alone, I would sometimes get distracted or feel overwhelmed by how much information there was, and I ended up waiting until the last minute to finish. In group projects, it was frustrating when some people didn’t do their part, which made the work harder for everyone else. To deal with this, I started breaking the project into smaller steps, like researching one day and writing another, and I tried to communicate more with my group so everyone knew what they had to do. Because of these experiences, I’m going to handle this research project better by starting earlier, staying organized, and managing my time. If I’m in a group, I’ll make sure to communicate clearly and do my part so everything goes more smoothly.

Summary:  Today in class we worked on common lit.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.
