As you gathered sources, you were expected to find multiple perspectives on your topic. What differences did you notice between your sources? Explain how these differences helped you better understand the complexity of your issue.

Prompt Response: When I was gathering sources, I started to notice that not everyone agreed on the topic. Some sources made cosmetic surgery sound like a good thing, saying it can help people feel more confident and happier with how they look. But other sources focused more on the downsides, like how it can affect mental health or make people feel like they have to look perfect. Some articles shared real people’s experiences, while others used facts and studies. Seeing these different points of view made me realize the topic is more complicated than I first thought. It helped me understand that cosmetic surgery can have both positive and negative effects, and it really depends on the person and their situation.

Summary: Today in class we work on our projects.

Reflection: I learned a new way to research for projects.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.
