Prompt Response: If I had to write a poem about my life right now, it would be about trying to balance everything. It would talk about school, stress, and feeling tired, but still showing up each day. The poem would also be about growing and learning from mistakes. It would show that even when things feel hard, I keep going. Overall, it would be about moving forward and not giving up. Summary:Today in class we worked on Rhetorical analysis. When you are in a mood that you do not like, what are some strategies that you use to change your mood?

Prompt Response: When I am in a mood that I do not like, I try to pause and take a few deep breaths. I remind myself that the feeling will not last forever. I like to listen to music to calm myself down. Sometimes I talk to someone I trust about how I feel. Other times, I distract myself by doing something I enjoy, like watching a show or working on a hobby. These small actions usually help my mood improve. Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.

Prompt Response: When I work on something creative, I like to start by understanding the problem first. I think about what needs to be done and then come up with simple ideas. I make a plan and work step by step, fixing things as I go. The project I am most proud of was a city design project in my engineering class. My group picked a real place and designed a city together. Everyone had a role, and mine was civil engineering. I designed the infrastructure, like roads, water systems, and utilities. I felt proud because the project felt real and showed how our teamwork came together. Summary: Today in class we worked on the writable. Reflection: I learned new vocabulary words from lesson 8.

After two weeks of studying rhetorical devices, types of rhetoric, and methods for identifying rhetorical techniques, which rhetorical device do you find most effective or compelling, and why?

Prompt Response: One rhetorical device I find compelling is hypophora. Hypophora is when a speaker asks a question and then answers it right away. This helps guide the reader’s thinking and makes the message easy to follow. It also shows confidence because the writer controls the discussion. Hypophora is effective because it keeps the audience engaged while clearly explaining the main idea. Summary: Today in class i took a quiz on rhetorical devices. Reflection: I learn more about rhetorical devices.

Prompt Response:   The word anecdote is important to me because I like sharing short stories from my life. When I talk with my friends or family, I often tell small stories about things that happened to me. These stories help others understand how I feel and who I am. One time, I shared an anecdote about getting lost on my second day of high school, and it made everyone laugh. Telling anecdotes helps me connect with people and makes conversations feel more real. Summary: Today in class we work on Lesson 7 vocabulary. Reflection: I learn some new  vocabulary.

Write about a time you didn’t feel like yourself.

Prompt Response: There was a time in school when I didn’t feel like myself. I was tired from staying up late doing homework and thinking too much about grades. I didn’t enjoy being with my friends like I used to and felt quiet most days. I put a lot of pressure on myself and kept my stress to myself. After some time, with rest and help from others, I slowly started to feel better again. Summary: Today in class I work on MLK Rhetorical Analysis. Reflection:  I learned more about Martin Luther King Jr.

Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

Prompt Response:   A place where I feel the most at peace is a quiet park near my home, especially in the early morning. There are tall trees, a small walking path, and birds singing softly. I feel calm there because it is quiet and there are no crowds or loud noises. The fresh air helps me relax and think clearly. Being in that park makes me feel safe and stress-free. Summary: Today in class I work on Rhetorical devices. Reflection:  I learned about 2 more Rhetorical devices.

Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

Prompt Response: One time I didn’t understand an important assignment at school and felt stuck. I had to rely on a friend to explain it to me step by step. At first, I felt embarrassed asking for help. After they helped me, I felt calmer and more confident. It reminded me that trusting others can help me learn and grow. What life skills have you learned in high school that will help you live independently after high school? Which skills do you think are essential for your success after high school?

Prompt Response: In high school, I learned how to manage my time by balancing homework, tests, and activities. I also learned responsibility by waking up on time, going to class, and turning in my work. Working with classmates taught me how to communicate and listen to others. I learned that asking for help is important when I am confused or stressed. These skills will help me live on my own and be successful after high school. Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

Prompt Response: I took a break from social media even though I used it every day. I felt tired and distracted from being on my phone too much. I stopped using it during my final tests so I could focus better on studying. During the break, I felt calmer and could pay more attention to my work. After the tests, I went back to social media but used it less and felt much better. Summary: Today in class we work on  rhetorical devise  Reflection: I learned three new rhetorical devices.

Use a hyperbole, an understatement, and a litotes to describe today's lesson.

Prompt Response: Today’s lesson felt like a million things to remember (hyperbole). We talked about hyperbole, understatement, and litotes the whole time. It was a little interesting, but not too exciting (understatement).The examples helped me understand better. By the end, it was not hard to understand how the three devices work (litotes). Summary: Today in class we worked on hyperbole, understatement and litotes. Reflection:  I learned about three new literary devices.

Prompt Response: During my Holiday Break, I spent most of my time at home relaxing and enjoying time with my family. I caught up on sleep, took a break from stress, and made some new food while thinking about my goals for the new year. Summary: Today in our class we worked on the writable. Reflection: Today I wrote about some of my goals for this year. The first goal  i  want to achieve this year is to get A's in all my classes.   This goal is important because it is going to help me get a good GPA and get into a good college.   To achieve the goals,  i  plan to pay more attention to my class, do my homework on time, study a  little  every day rather than only study before tests.
