Write about the best gift you have received.

Prompt Response: One of the best gifts I ever received was a Nakshi Kantha from my grandma. A Nakshi Kantha is a Bengali embroidered quilt, and she had made a few for me over the years. Among all of them, the last one she gave me before she passed away is the most precious. It is my best gift because it was the last ever gift from her. I truly admire her gift, and I keep it very securely and with so much love. Every time I see it, it reminds me of her love and hardworking art.

Prompt Response: One issue that stood out to me is the pressure to look perfect, mostly because of social media and beauty standards. Because of this, some turn to cosmetic surgery or weight-loss drugs, even though they can have risks and don’t always make people happier. I think this is important because it affects people’s confidence and how they see themselves. It shows that the way society defines beauty can be unrealistic and harmful. Prompt Response: Our group made sure everyone was involved by talking together in class and checking in often. We split the work so each person had something to do, like finding sources or writing a part. We made sure everyone understood their job. While working, we would ask each other how it was going and help if someone was confused. If someone was falling behind, we would remind them in a respectful way. This helped us stay on track and made sure everyone did their part. Summary: Today in class we work on gathering evidence from our sources. Reflection: I learned team work is dream work.
