Reflect on a time when you paused to appreciate the beauty of nature, much like the speaker in “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” Where were you, what did you notice, and how did that moment of stillness make you feel or change your perspective?

Prompt Response: I remember a time I was at the beach. The sun was going down, and it looked really pretty. The sky had nice colors, like orange and purple. The waves came up on the sand. I heard the waves and a bird. I felt very calm and full of wonder. The big ocean made my problems seem small. It helped me see that I should stop and enjoy nature more.

Summary: Today in class we worked on a One pager assignment.

Reflection: I learned a new poem and new meaning to some words.

As the first semester comes to an end, take time to reflect on your learning and growth in this course. In a well-developed response, explain what you enjoyed most about the class, identify the project or assignment you found most engaging, and discuss which aspect of the course you connected with the most (such as poetry, fiction, writing, or discussion). Finally, reflect on one area where you feel you need additional support or improvement as we move into the spring semester.

As you grow older and face new experiences, what issue or topic do you think you'll have to stand up and debate most often, whether with friends, family, or society?
