You’ve been in American Literature for 4.5 weeks now. How has the class been going for you so far?

 Prompt Response: The class has been a good experience for me so far. I have learned a lot about Americans and their culture through the literature we read. I am also getting better at analyzing texts and poems. Talking about bloggers has helped me explore new things about myself. Overall, I enjoy the course because I am learning new things about American history and culture. It is helping me understand more about literature.

Summary: Today in class we did assessment about Emily Dickinson's poem. 

Reflection: I learned how hard to forget a person throughout the poem.

Prompt Response:   As the first semester comes to an end, I can honestly say I’ve grown a lot in this class. What I enjoyed most was getting to read different types of poems and discussions about new things related to the real worlds. The assignment I found most engaging was the cultural Mask projects because they helped me express my thoughts, become more confident in my ethnicity and get to know all my classmates more. I connected the most with the poems analyzing and writing bloggers since I liked analyzing characters. Moving into the spring semester, I think I need to work on improving my grammar and writing essays and thesis so my writing can be clearer and stronger.

As you grow older and face new experiences, what issue or topic do you think you'll have to stand up and debate most often, whether with friends, family, or society?

  Prompt Response:   As we age, a big conversation will be the balance between technology and human connection. It's about how all the new tech affects our relationships. For example, social media can link us up but sometimes makes us feel alone. AI at work is super efficient, but we need to think about human jobs. We'll discuss if tech helps or hurts real, face-to-face time. The main point is making sure technology helps our connections, not hurts them. Summary: Today in class we learn about three literary forms of writing. Reflection: I learned about how to start writing an essay.
