Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?
Prompt Response: My grandmother got blood cancer. It was stage three. We only had six months with her. Those months felt very precious. Her strength faded fast. It was like watching something beautiful disappear. Frost's poem says "Nothing gold can stay." My grandmother's time with us was like gold. It was bright but didn't last. Her quick passing showed me how true that is. Life can change very quickly.
Summary: Today in class we read and analyzed two poems of Robert Forster.
Reflection: I learned about a new poem and new meaning of life.
